We were proud to launch the first session of our brand-new ICL Graduate Business School Speaker Series on Wednesday, 9 April 2025, at the ICL Education Centre in Auckland. This initiative aims to enrich the academic experience of our students by connecting them with accomplished industry professionals, thought leaders, and innovators who are shaping the future of business.

For our inaugural event, we had the pleasure of welcoming Flavio Hangarter as our guest speaker. Flavio is a highly respected expert in the fields of digital transformation, product innovation, and emerging technologies. With a remarkable career that includes founding two tech companies and supporting over 100 technology ventures, his insights were both practical and visionary.

His talk, titled “The AI-Powered Digital Evolution: Preparing Organisations for a Tech-Enabled Future,” captivated our audience with its relevance and depth. Flavio explored the profound impact of artificial intelligence on modern organisations and introduced the Six Pillars of AI Integration—a framework designed to help businesses strategically embrace AI to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth.

This session sparked engaging discussions among our students and faculty members, offering a unique opportunity to reflect on how organisations can adapt and thrive in an increasingly digital and AI-driven landscape. It was particularly rewarding to see how our students connected theoretical knowledge from their studies with real-world applications and future-forward strategies.

We are sincerely grateful to Flavio for generously sharing his time, expertise, and vision with our learning community. His thought-provoking presentation set a high benchmark for the rest of our speaker series.

Special thanks go to our Academic Director, Dr Paula Ray, whose leadership and coordination were instrumental in the success of this event. We also had the honour of hosting Mr Ewen Mackenzie-Bowie, Chairman of ICL Education Group, who joined us in welcoming Flavio and showing his ongoing support for academic initiatives that empower our students.
