Welcoming Our May 2025 Intake: A Strong Start to a New Academic Journey
01-06 May 2025 | ICL Education Centre

At ICL Graduate Business School, the start of a new term is always a moment of excitement and opportunity. This May, we proudly welcomed a new cohort of students into our Master’s, Postgraduate, and Graduate Diploma programmes in Business Management and Business Informatics, as well as our Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE).

The academic orientation sessions were held from 1st to 6th May 2025, designed to provide students with a thorough introduction to their academic programmes, institutional expectations, and student support services. These sessions form an essential part of the student journey at ICL, setting the tone for a successful and enriching learning experience. A catch-up orientation was also conducted on 22nd May for students who arrived after the main induction period, ensuring that no learner missed out on the critical information needed to begin their studies with confidence.

The business programme orientations were led by Associate Professor Dr Syed Jamali, Academic Manager, alongside Programme Manager Premalatha Sampath. Together, they provided students with comprehensive overviews of their academic pathways, highlighting key course components, assessment expectations, and support mechanisms in place to help students thrive in a competitive and fast-evolving global business landscape.

For our ECE learners, the orientation was facilitated by the Early Childhood Education academic team, led by Programme Manager Meripa Toso. Students were introduced to the core values and principles that underpin our ECE qualification, and were encouraged to begin reflecting on their role as future educators shaping the lives of young learners in Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.

Each student received a welcome pack containing essential academic resources, guidelines, and timetables—along with a few thoughtful surprises to create a warm and memorable welcome experience.

As an institution committed to excellence, diversity, and student success, ICL Graduate Business School is excited to see what this new intake will achieve over the coming months. We extend a heartfelt nau mai, haere mai to all our new students and look forward to supporting them on this important chapter of their educational journey.

Welcome to the ICL family!
