ICL Graduate Business School proudly welcomed its newest cohort of students during Orientation sessions for the July 2025 intake. Students from a wide range of programmes came together to begin their academic journey in the heart of Auckland’s central city.

The Orientation welcomed students across our Master’s degrees, Postgraduate and Graduate Diplomas, Bachelor’s and Undergraduate Diplomas in Business and Business Informatics, as well as students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE).

These sessions are an essential part of the student journey, designed to familiarise new students with life at ICL, our academic expectations, support services, and the many opportunities available both inside and outside the classroom.

The Orientation was led by our dedicated Student Support, Registrar, and Academic teams, who ensured students were warmly welcomed and well-prepared to start their studies with confidence.

The Academic Orientation for Business programmes was led by Associate Professor Dr Syed Jamali and Programme Manager Premalatha Sampath, who introduced students to the structure of their programmes, academic standards, and available academic resources. Their guidance helped set the tone for a successful trimester ahead, encouraging students to actively engage with their learning and academic goals.

Meanwhile, the ECE Academic Orientation was conducted by Associate Professor Meripa Toso and her team, who warmly welcomed future Early Childhood Education teachers to the programme. With a strong emphasis on professionalism, cultural responsiveness, and student-centred learning, the ECE team provided students with valuable insight into the programme’s expectations and the vital role they will play in New Zealand’s education sector.
