On Tuesday, 18 June, ICL Graduate Business School proudly hosted the third instalment of the ICL Speaker Series, featuring special guest Dr. Thamil Vamathevan—an expert in Artificial Intelligence with extensive experience across academia and industry.
In her engaging and thought-provoking session, Dr. Vamathevan guided students and staff through the evolution of AI—from early rule-based systems to today’s advanced generative models that are reshaping industries. She provided a clear and practical introduction to current AI tools and demonstrated how they are transforming business operations across a wide range of sectors.
The presentation highlighted the growing importance of AI literacy in today’s workforce and offered students a deeper understanding of how these technologies can be used strategically within business environments.
In addition to the presentation, students had the unique opportunity to network directly with Dr. Vamathevan. Through one-on-one conversations, she generously answered individual questions and offered tailored insights, creating a valuable learning and mentoring experience.
