On Thursday, 28 August 2025<\/strong>, ICL Graduate Business School had the privilege of hosting Nalini Dutt<\/strong>, National Manager at AA Home<\/strong>, as our fifth guest speaker in the ICL Speaker Series 2025.<\/p>

Her presentation, \u201cThe Business of Being Bold: Building something within and beyond the job description,\u201d<\/strong> offered a powerful message on the importance of courage, purpose, and adaptability in today\u2019s fast-changing world.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Nalini opened by defining boldness as Courage + Purpose<\/strong>, explaining why boldness is crucial now:<\/p>

  • Industries are transforming overnight<\/p><\/li>

  • Playing it safe often means falling behind<\/p><\/li>

  • Bold leaders create momentum, inspire teams, and attract resources<\/p>

    She shared her personal bold journey<\/strong>, including a pivotal moment when she made the decision to relocate to New Zealand. Students were introduced to the five pillars of boldness<\/strong>:<\/p>

    2. Authenticity<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

    3. Risk Intelligence<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

    4. Adaptability<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

      Practical tools to build boldness<\/strong>\u2014Evaluate, Envision, Embrace\u2014were discussed, along with common myths about boldness, such as the idea that bold people are never scared or that boldness always requires dramatic actions.<\/p>

      The session ended with a thought-provoking question:
      \u201cWhat\u2019s your next bold step?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>

      Students engaged in a lively Q&A session, gaining practical advice on leadership, resilience, and career growth.<\/p>
