ICL FutureTech Talk Series 1 - Azure CI/CD for Effective Software Testing
Wednesday, 09 July 2025 | ICL Education Centre

ICL Graduate Business School successfully launched the first session of its new FutureTech Talk Series, a platform designed to connect students with professionals shaping the future of technology.

The inaugural session featured guest speaker Dona Gayani Dasanayake, a software specialist in testing, who delivered an insightful presentation on “Azure CI/CD for Effective Software Testing.” Dona explored the importance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) in modern development environments, emphasising how these practices enable continuous testing, monitoring, and optimisation — all key elements for delivering high-quality software.

The event sparked lively discussion and curiosity, particularly during the interactive Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to ask in-depth questions. Topics ranged from technical strategies in test automation to career development, with Dona offering valuable advice on how international students in Auckland can build their skills, grow their confidence, and pursue opportunities in New Zealand’s tech industry.

The session was also attended by Programme Manager Premalatha Sampath and members of the BBIS Academic Team, whose presence enriched the discussion with academic insights and broader perspectives.

This first talk set the tone for what promises to be an exciting ongoing series, providing students with both inspiration and practical knowledge from experts in the field.

Stay tuned for future sessions of the ICL FutureTech Talk Series.
